Mainly Stitch

Mainly Stitch is an established group of textile artists who came together in 2000 with the purpose of raising our individual standards of design in a supportive and enthusiastic atmosphere.

Group discussions are an important part of the working process encouraging the development of ideas. These sessions stimulate lively discussion and debate. Members interests and techniques cover a wide range of skills. Exhibitions of work produced are held every two years.

Mainly Stitch meet monthly at Ilam or Thorpe in the Derbyshire Peak District. This allows the individual members of the group to work independently and then come together for workshops and group sessions with support from Sarah Burgess, their mentor.

Mainly Stitch are happy to consider collaborations and exhibiting opportunities.
